American Bikers Aimed Toward Education is a not for profit corporation formed to promote and protect the interests of New York state motorcyclists.
ABATE monitors and interacts with the legislative process, enhancing the image of motorcycling, and provides educational and social opportunities for members and non-members. ABATE will continue to strive to stay acquainted with the issues and the people of the motorcycling community.

The Rensselaer County Chapter, through its members and volunteers, attends many charitable activities and events. The chapter also hosts many charitable events and activities to raise funds for charitable organizations in the community for first responders , military , pet rescues, and food drives for low-income/needy families. We are a non-profit organization and rely on members and donations to support these events that give back to these great organizations. We promote motorcycle safety and awareness by providing information and education to the general public, riders and non riders alike regarding motorcycle skills, safety and awareness to try to keep all that share the road safe. It is the goal of this chapter, at all times, to promote a positive image of motorcycle enthusiasts through our educational, patriotic, and charitable functions. We are not a motorcycle or riding club.
